Adding a second 28mm Magna competition to the diary for 2023.

Venue: Battlefield Hobbies, Daventry

24th and 25th June 2023

Scale: 28mm Magna

Theme: 7,000 pts Open – any army from the 2023 army list PDFs.

All games will be played on standard 6x4 (ish) tables and the event will be run as a 5-round Swiss-draw competition.

Saturday:
Game 1: 09:00 – 11:30
Game 2: 12:00 – 14:30
Game 3: 15:00 – 17:30

Sunday:
Game 4: 9:30 - 12:00
Game 5: 13:00 – 15:30

Hi,

I have an issue buying the ticket to the event, since I cannot change the country from the UK to Romania and I of course get an error for the billing address. This is supposed to be a PDF document I assume, so the physical address should not be an issue anyway, but still I cannot avoid this.

Any suggestion or solution ? I even have an account on the Battlefield Hobbies website with the correct Romanian address, but I still cannot change the UK to Romania when trying to purchase the event ticket.

Hi Dan,

I suspect that the site is complaining because we no longer ship things overseas and it can't actually understand that for an event entry there is no shipping.

A couple of options spring to mind.

One, you could put my address with your name so postcode SK2 6JU, 17 Davenport Park Road, Stockport.

Or if you just mail the shop on info@battlefieldhobbies.co.uk and we can organise an entry by you just sending the money to PayPal

Looks like we are (maybe) going to have an uneven number for the 28mm Magna. So if anyone wants to trundle their 25/28mm toys across the table and even us up they would be most welcome. Or 2 people playing a day each. It may even be possible to find a loan army if you'd like to try the Magna 28mm game out but don't have an army.

The army lists are posted on Nik's Gamer at the End of Time blog.

My army actually was short on command cards. Not sure what I would have sacrificed for the extra card, but the 7 cards for 3 professional generals wasn't enough unless the army could stick together.  As soon as the skirmishers needed to operate independently, I struggled as I had 7 TuGs and 3 SuGs (excluding the ally).  I am not confident to run with a Mediocre ally to command the 2 Galatian units - although I think I might have got away with it.
