Player Discussion / Charge only Bow Cost
October 08, 2025, 10:53:04 AM
Following a quick conversation on facebook and rules review are being done I would like to through this one on the table

Would like to raise the cost of Charge only Bow at 23pts I feel this is overpriced for what it does.

Rules Queries and Clarifications / Feigned Fight
September 23, 2025, 04:35:59 AM
I have an army and it can use Feigned Fight.

I take an ally and they can use Feigned Fight.

Am a allowed to have one or two units with feigned fight ?

Quote from: nikgaukroger on September 04, 2025, 07:01:40 AMYou have been remarkably unlucky - are you suggesting it should be easier to get a Shatter (or Shove) result?

 In short no.

Im just not sure of the probabilities but a Green Dice seems less devastating that +2 to each adjacent file.

Although I would have more success with the proposed rule. When I say I have not got a Shatter is the few times I rolled it it's been  on the last file and therefore no one benefited.

Played 12 games using at least 3 units of CL and still waiting to achieve a shatter.

Was hoping when it happened it would be shatttering this doesn't feel like it. Although great if you are on White and get a green bonus or it happens at the end of the line.

Will this be enough to warrant the pts. Combined with the pts reduction to commanders    It may be a race to the bottom (well mediocre)

Understand the problem not that I've seen it. But a possible outcome with more than 6PBS having less utility is an increase in mediocre professional commanders.

Just interested 7.2 unused PBS can't be used for scouting. What problem is this trying to fix?

I want to confirm that my general may leave his command and join a UG of another command and engage in combat. I believe this is allowed as rule

2.B.11. A general may only have one of two locations – a) with a file (not rank) and therefore with
that UG (and at an angle if the general is in combat), or b) standing alone and therefore not
with any UG. A general is displaced if contacted by UGs.

There is no specification that the UG the general is with is part of his command.

Further
2.B.12. A general may move on their own or with an UG they are with if it moves (regardless of
which general prompts that move).

This implies they can be with an UG not in the command and prompted to move by the UG's general and vice a versa.

2.C. 4. Even if all the UGs in a command are lost, a non-allied general can still join an UG in another
command and fight, and if professional, still prompt actions. An instinctive general may use
cards to move themselves or a mobile camp.  The general may also discard cards.

While this relates to a general who's command is lost it suggests a general can join UG;s not in his command

Thanks

Rules Queries and Clarifications / Imperial Romans
August 08, 2025, 03:02:42 AM
Hi,

Im looking at Imperial Romans and note that the list says Integral Shooters costs 8pts for Superiors but the Worksheet it costs 9pts ?

I assume lists are correct ?

I understand you can downgrade shooting skill by 1 level (e.g. Skilled to Experienced, Experienced to Poor)

At 24pts the Charge only Bow is very expensive so I hoping against my own intuition

Can you downgrade the Shooting Skill "Charge only" to Nothing ?

Thanks Steve,

Good points appreciate the feedback.

Sorry lost power for 2 days so couldn't respond.

To clarify, I mean that combat shy is a flat rate - for both melee focussed units and ranged units. While the disbenefit to ranged units is generally lesser than a melee unit as they can still contribute to a battle via shooting which is unaffected by combat shy.

I was sought of replying to the original posters clarification above. not the heading.
