Mid Republican Roman triarii

As the 2024 list changes are imminent I thought I would mention that I think part of a sentence relating to the triarii was removed in the Mid Republican Roman list when the 2023 changes were made which should still be there as follows "A maximum of one triarii may be taken for each 4 hastati and principes".

It is still in the Campanian list for the post 275 BCE options so it is clear how many you can have in that list but without that sentence is unclear in the Roman list.

Whilst writing can I ask that the TUG size for triarii deployed separately be changed to allow a TUG size of 4 or 6, not just 4. I find that, when I have allies in particular, I quite often end up with three TUGs of 8 hastati and principes which would allow for six triarii but cannot do so for no obvious reason I can think of.

Thanks, I will look at this.

Thanks Richard

Actually. having looked more closely I can see that you have covered the point in a different place, below the line for the separately deployed triarii. I would be obliged if you could look into my second point though.

Incidentally you may wish to look at the Maximus Campanian list as triarii in that list may currently deploy in separate TUGs of 2 as well as 4. As there is no special exception to the 2-wide minimum for TUGs, as for example list 5414 Yorkist English, it means if the option for a TUG of 2 is taken they must deploy 2-wide and 1-deep which seems a bit odd. (Far better to give them the option of 4 and 6 as I'm suggesting for the Romans  :) ).
