Breaking off - Enemy Skirmishers in the Way

Hi Guys,

Question:

What happens when I break off with formed cavalry and my way is barred by enemy skirmishers ? Can I perform the movement, do I push them back or is the movement blocked ?

You can only push back enemy SuGs during the movement phase (page 111).  So if your break off move is barred by enemy skirmishers you cannot break off.

NB you can still use the universal 1/2 base shift to avoid enemy when breaking off so to block you enemy would have to prevent this being possible.
