An open competition would generate more interest (participation!!!) i would certainly enter if it was open

No - decide this week, no need to dither until after Britcon. If it is decided before Britcon it can be talked about at Britcon based on what is going to happen, much better.

If there's only one "open" event in the calendar  (and on the assumption that "open" isn't broken in MeG) that may well be the most sensible option then..

All cats/snails/headless chickens say "aye"...?

OK - we have three teams booked for the MeG teams.  The people who booked them were:

Richard Jeffrey-Cook
Raymond Duggins
Jason Broomer

From the post below, Richard also booked for Lance Flint and Nik Gaukroger. 

I think that makes the other four:
Lee ???
Alasdair Harley
Paul Cummins
Stephen Stead

Can somebody let me have Lee's surname please and also let me know if those nine names are correct.

Any chance you could remove the team references as it'll just confuse people. Also needs to be clear that it is now an OPEN comp. Thanks.
