Need some advice. Did MAA have plate covering the hamstring or just the calfs to the back of the knee?

English men-at-arms would usually have cuisses and greaves that were fully enclosed and mail voiders protecting the back of the knee.

Continental men-at-arms more commonly had the thigh and back of the knee unarmoured - greaves would always be fully enclosed.

English men-at-arms are troops you can legitimately spray silver, do the leather straps and call it done  ;)
