Hello all, another question came up, I just watched a review of the new MEG Compendium on you tube, my compemdium that I purchased on line was from 2016, will I have to purchase the new compendium in order to use the new armies? Thanks in advance for any and all replies: newbie

You don't need to for two reasons:

1) the initial vs 1 you have plays perfectly as a game as written
2) all the improvements are online at the website on a vs1 to vs 2 document for you.
3) the ret of th improvements are in the list and army builders which are online anyway.

The compendium has a lot ore in it and is a rather lovely box set.  So suggest you try ti from the current rule set with those amends and then invest in a compendium set if you like it and want to play a lot.  Then its well worth it.
