How Many Aliies

How many allied contingents can an army have, the lists limit number of internal but I cant find any reference to limiting external, and can an army therefore have tow allied contingents of the same race.  So can a Cimmerian force have tow allied Thracian contingents, subject of course to the limits in the Thracian list, or is it limited to just one Thracian contingent

Unless a list says you can have multiple contingents of the same ally you are only allowed one. Can't recall off hand if it states that anywhere but that some specifically say when you can have more than one it is implicit.
