I'm impressed you've played so many games just with the one army.

Hi @nikgaukroger,

It is my usual approach in wargaming, i.e. I focus on single faction. This allows me to achieve to goals:

1. Paint models in sufficient quantity to have options for army lists variations - in this case I only focused on reaching 10,000 points but I did it with almost no models left to paint for Seleucids. It gives me the opportunity to expand now, as I have an army ready to play anyway.

2. Practice with the same faction with only occasional variations to the army list - thanks to that I hope to develop better understanding what I can do with this army. There are so many potential opponents that it really pays off to play to your own strengths instead. While I still have a lot to learn, I believe I am getting better.

Thanks!

Special thanks to Alvaro Erize from The Wargame Spot group who donated a fantastic battle map. I used it in all my subsequent games at MOAB.

I love your reports!!

Love the animated diagrams. Very clever.

It's a real skill to do this and play the game.

Ray

p.s. I change my armies quicker than my underpants. Maybe that's where I am going wrong.

Pawel_Mieczowski

Hi Ray!

Thanks a lot! I am very happy to know you like the reports. I decided to create animations so that it reflects the dynamics of the system. All I need to do is take a lot of photos during the game.

There is nothing wrong with changing armies often! I do admire people who can paint their forces quickly and have beautiful collections of armies for many different historical periods. I have just found I like playing with one army for longer period of time. And at the moment, I would rather expand it, than start a new one.

But who knows, in a not so distant future? :)
