Looking forward to seeing a few of those lists (no prizes for guessing which) - I believe Si has them?
"The Roman Empire was not murdered and nor did it die a natural death; it accidentally committed suicide."

badhabum

Yes and if you sent me your email adress I can sent them to you . All players have received the lists today

Mine almegajw@gmail.com

nikgaukroger

Thanks, however, my undercover agent has forwarded them to me  8)

Eh? It didn't have 2 mediocre allies - in fact it can't even if you wanted to do that  :o

Apologies. I was recalling the Tuaregs who just avoided wooden spoon.

It was a great event.  Location excellent.
Drinks brought to the table!!

Nikephorians played really nicely.
Wouldn't change anything about it.
List attached.

Infantry formed a great anti cavalry screen to move around.
Kataphractoi x 6 a real threat wherever they went.
Normans plus Tagmatic Cavalry very solid and dangerous - shoot & charge especially good as sorting out skirmishers once you get close to them.
Thematic cav have to treated with great care as fragile.
Do not lose the camp - too many 4s.
Misjudged the aggression of Charlemagne in the last game.
