The notes to the Late Swiss list state " An alliance contingent must be in its own command or commands."

Is there anything to stop the Alliance contingent to be in the Army Commander's command as long as his command is made up of 100% Alliance UGs?

My response would be that if a Lorraine army commander was the army commander it would be a Lorraine army, not a Late Swiss army.

I am adding a clarification to the errata to make it clear that contingents cannot be commanded by an army commander except where explicitly allowed for in a list.

Although IIRC at one of the battles against the Burgundians the Swiss were hired by the Duke of Lorraine and although they comprised the majority of the army he was technically the C-in-C.

Well RENÉE II hired the swiss against theyr common enemy , Charles of burgundy. Who was beseiging his capital thé Town of NANCY. Battle took place on 7 february 1477.

In thé Lorrainer versionof thé story RENE sas the C-c . Not sure the swiss woould agree , ask thèm ?
