After (seriously) 40 years of interest, I have decided to order figures for the Catalan Grand Company. I have the figures picked out, but I need some guidance on  how to paint them.

Does anyone now of any relatively inexpensive picture books or painting guides for these rascals? I tried Osprey but struck out (to my surprise). Any help would be appreciated.

Miniature Wargaming is the only completely honorable form of warfare ever invented by man.

I remember back in Warrior (variant of WRG 7th) they gave Almughavars shields (they didn't carry them historically but they just couldn't work in game without them). This led one witty type to inquire every now and again if anyone had any information on Almughavar shield patterns.

More of a suggestion, rather than hard information. But as some of the originals were from Aragon and surrounding areas red and yellow might prominent colours. Equally as many of them were from the mountains much more drab colours might be more logical.

I've been tempted for almost as long, but I need to shrink the lead mountain first.
