Dismounted Swarbian infantry at the Battle on Civitate 1053 AD are recorded as wielding with two handed swords, yet lists for the same time Early Holy Roman Empire (Frankia) and Papal Italian (HRE) have them equipped as short spear, surely two handed cut and crush is a better representation of how they fought

Despite them using swords 2 handed I doubt they were massive enough to be 2HCC at that period - the ME option coupled with Superior is probably a good classification (the Loose may be a touch odd though but the possibly equally odd SSp cancels it out against mounted).
"The Roman Empire was not murdered and nor did it die a natural death; it accidentally committed suicide."

At Civitate they are mentioned as fighting in close formation

Perhaps formed close or formed flexible would be a better representation of them. Norman cavalry, CL, DC plus loose in the open would roll over them pretty quick, which historically did not happen, they repeatedly withstood cavalry charges, only when retuning cavalry hit them in the flank/rear were they beaten

Will consider for a 2022 list change.
