The Later Republican Roman army is permitted Galatian allies (in Asia) from 74 to 31 BCE. The Galatian list ends in 62 BCE. What list covers the Galatians from 62-31 BCE ??

thanks

Use the Galatian list.  I'll add a note that the list can continue to be used as an ally until 31 BCE.

Perhaps a universal catch all rule could be in the lists to the effect that a list can provide an ally even outside of its list dates - the list dates cover when they can field a "full" army but outside that many provided smaller allied contingents when unable to field a full army.

I'd prefer to note the instances where it occurs as there are occasions when a different list is used.  I think we have identified most of them already.

Probably avoids repeated questions as people forget about the universal list rules a lot of the time  ::)

I also advocate having the notations in so that people will need to query where its not listed - thus errors are found. Otherwise 'oh must be the universal rule applies' and we'd let some errors slide unintentionally.
