Hello everyone, I'm new to MEG. I've been working on a 28mm Thracian army as a quarantine project and I had a bit of a rules question for the Thracian hill tribe list. Is there any particular reason a Rhomphaia doesn't have the 2-handed cut/crush rule? This isn't a criticism, I'm just curious as to what the thought process is/was, as it does appear to be a two-handed sword/polearm.

My guess would be that 2HCC is a bit of an anti-mounted specialist weapon and I don't think the Thracians were seen as being anti-mounted troops; they were, however, quite fearsome in an infantry environment and so Devastating Charger with Melee Expert is a much better representation.

The 2HCC is a weighted weapon category that can smash horses and armour.
Hence the Japanese naginata is not that either.

But both get Melee Expert which as you find when playing is one of th ebbs things to have in practice.

Thracians are fine warriors in Mortem et Gloriam therefore.
