Hi guys

When making a rout move, the VMD mechanism must be used. Does this use the same table on the QRS as for "Run away or skirmish when charged" (I don't see a separate table anywhere for VMD in rout)? If so, presumably the three modifiers that are listed for Poor quality troops, Cantabrian/African tactics and the superior/exceptional option do *not* apply, as it would seem odd that poor troops would on average rout less distance (i.e. be less likely to 'burst through;' a reserve line)?

Yup, you use the VMD part of the  run away/skirmish table.

As far as I can see you do use the modifiers - nothing says you don't - which I assume has been done to keep things simple by avoiding exceptions. You could no doubt rationalise the effect by saying routing poor troops are less likely to distress supports or something to that effect.
