Hi,
Just picked up the Compendium (and now ordered the other bits from the boxed set!) as a way to rejuvenate use of my 15mm Punic War armies. Still reading the rules but have a quick query re basing. My stuff was originally all DBM based single elements but over the last few year as I acquired/painted odds and ends I started double depth basing all the foot. So close order went on 40x30 in two ranks, warband/Ax on 40x40, and skirmishers 40x40 as well. It let me do some scenic bits on bases and vary the number of figures and add casualty stuff as well. Given that the rules allow a rear base to be removed what sort of impact will this have on the game and what additional bookkeeping?

Hoping to start the learning process soon as have finally cleared my table top!

Cheers in advance

Not much at all, and least of all in Pacto where you can't turn individual bases anyway.
When we play using such basing we use wound markers on both sides.
Use the reverse side to show a full base lost.

I am hoping to do a video this week about playing Mortem et Gloriam with all sort of basing variations.

Cheers for that. Looks like not an issue. Look forward to the video.
