Does a general give a claim to a file that is not under his command?

In the Elephant Kings rule, the sentence says, "in their command".
Jai trouvé des restrictions pour les alliés, mais je n'ai rien trouvé d'autre.
j'ai peut-être oublié quelque chose.

So, an elephant general only supports a file of elephants under his command, but a non-elephant file for the entire army.

Reminder:
SPECIAL RULE: Elephant Kings. X generals can fight in a file of Elephants in their command giving a +1 claim (only +1 for legendary generals).

Thank you, I will apply
I think the end of the sentence will be deleted in an updated version
P24 1C 5.2 "A single file may only shoot once and if there are multiple potential targets it must shoot at the charging base that first comes within 1BW"

I'm not sure I'm playing the priority target of shooting at chargers correctly.

simple example: two UGs charge the same shooter's UG
question: how to determine the target of the shooter's file at the junction of the 2 charging UGs

must the charging player indicate which UG charges first?
P24 1C 5.2 "A single file may only shoot once and if there are multiple potential targets it must shoot at the charging base that first comes within 1BW"

Or should we use the base covers most of the frontage?
P93 7D 5 "If any enemy bases are within 1BW and directly ahead (ahead and directly to the front) then a file must shoot at whichever such base covers most of the frontage of the shooting file – if equal the shooter may choose which base to shoot at."

in simpler terms, is the shooter's target the first to come or the one who covers him the most?

Thank you for your help

I think it isn't possible because the move starts at 3BW
M14. Double movement
P48 15.2. The entire move must remain at least 4BW

So if you do not want a dying Maximus scope ..velocity is the key  :D  a whole new debate indeed . The pacto Shove&shatter is already a good move .

Someone suggested that games should be 9000 points, not 10000 perhaps another way

If you want more velocity, one way to explore is reducing the skirmisher's possibilities (too much time to flee, shoot or move).
Some players take a long time to move perfectly to get an extra shooting dice or choose their skirmish direction so as not to be caught up.

I'd hate to see the budget reduced
Right now, we're playing with 9 to 13 TuGs, so it's like playing with 9 or 13 big bases.
with less, I'd feel like I was playing DBA. I'm not criticizing this rule, but it doesn't feel like a big battle anymore.

this is just my opinion and suggestion no more

sorry to bring it up again
but reading the clarifications "https://lurkio.co.uk/meg/meg/wp-content/uploads/MEG2022/Compendium%20Clarries%20v13%2021122022.pdf"
even though this is a bit old, the intention is, I think, the same

"SuGs that charge into or that are caught by TUGs in good going are broken immediately and removed"
"It is not the intention that a SuG could hold up a TuG by fighting it"

So,  2)   If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG
the SuG does not fight, but it is destroyed

Correct?

I'm not trying to be right, I just want to play the game properly.

Thank you, if there could be an official reply

So
1)   If a skirmishing SuG, meets enemies (SuG or TuG)

it stops

2)   If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG

it does not stop

ok, not easy to understand but I will apply

Thank you

so, in both situation
1)   If a skirmishing SuG, meets enemies (SuG or TuG)
2)   If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG

"as to stopping in front of an enemy Ug, its as close as you can get without touching."

ok, I will apply
Thanl you

If you meet friends you can pass through/burst through as long as there is room behind the UG you meet (KaBs may apply). Meeting enemy means you are more likely to be caught.

I understand, but a SuG that can't complete is move has the choice between, being destroyed  :( and stopping in front of an enemy  :)

and for question 2, it's the same thing, it stops in front of a TuG?

do you stoppe at 1 BW or to a millimeter?

(the rule is the rule "dura lex sed lex")

1- its stops in front of the enemy Sug/Tug. 4.4 only applies to meeting friends.

if it can't complete is move because friend, it is destroyed
if it can't complete is move because enemy, it stop

so, it is better to meet enemy than friend, very strange

Rules Queries and Clarifications / SuG contacting enemies

Is a SuG destroyed?

1)   If a skirmishing SuG, meets enemies (SuG or TuG)
If he meets friends, this is clearly indicated
P68 5L 4
And if he CAN'T COMPLETE his move, he's destroyed.
P68 5L 4.4
"4.4. If such a move cannot thereby be completed:
  SuGs are destroyed."

2)   If a charging SuG meets enemies TuG

2 questions about pursuit moves
1) If you completely destroy the enemy UG (all bases)
In this case no rout movement (no base left)
So, no pursuit moves, correct?
P105 8D 3
"Other UGs make pursuit moves if any enemy they were fighting to their front rout"

2) If your enemy fights on multiple sides and you do not destroy him completely, you have the choice to pursue, but if you destroy him completely
No pursuit moves, correct?
P103 8B 2
"An UG with enemy fighting on two or more of front, left flank, right flank or rear OR with
bases facing in more than one direction does not rout and is destroyed on the spot. The
opponent has the option to pursue directly ahead full move distance with any UGs that were
fighting them."
