2 x 3.15hr games per day:
Saturday 0930-1245, 1330-1645;
Sunday 0900-1215, 1300-1615.

As no flats are allowed I will not be attending
I think it is disgraceful that no flats are allowed and will also NOT attend this event. I will be actively campaigning for this to be changed and call on other MeG players to do the same. We should be as inclusive as possible for all players, particularly as this is supposed to be the premier event for Mortem et Gloriam. I will organise a counter-event unless this disgraceful condition is removed.

I find it disappointing that certain players are taking such a stance against this event and in my opinion against the organiser personally, even if not intentionally. The TO of an event should be able to make whatever decisions they wish with regards to a particular event. This organiser is in fact a keen advocate of flats, so much so that they are investing in the manufacture and distribution of said 'figures'. He has decided to restrict the use of them at this event, which as TO is entirely his decision.
Not attending as a protest is of course acceptable. Do what you wish. Personally I feel that the restriction on flats is not necessary, but posting such comments in a clear attempt to encourage others not to attend is disgraceful and IMHO an attack on the organiser and his event.
Shameful.
I shall be attending and supporting the organiser, who has been through enough frankly.

We expressed our opinion , as have you. At no point in any of the above posts does anyone say 'don't attend'. Not attending and not expressing the reason why would not be a protest.... it would just not be attending.

I'd like to make it perfectly clear that the no flats decision was made by Simon Hall the Author of MeG. Laurence Donohoe, Known as Cid, volunteered to run the event due to Simon's continued ill health.
I do not want Cid caught up in this squabble; he is blameless.

Not withstanding the organisation of a 'counter event' of course.
The decision was taken many months ago and it has been here all along. I'm a little bemused by all the reaction from all directions. Anyway I have updated organiser details and can take it back on now coming out fo the swamp. Note new CC email address for all things wargaming.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and their own choices. We will miss any not attending. See my much wider post in news for my perspective. WoFun has a big role and I am simply being cautious.
The extreme views are interesting and watching and listening as usual. As I said I don't really agree with either and/or agree with both.

No flats or similar representation of models not allowed. Better start banning everything that does not fit some wargaming "MAGA" outlook. Wargaming is suppose to be accessible to all. You should be allowed to use any figures/models that are not offensive, have a level of representation of type and correctly based.
Was thinking of attending. Defo not now or any MeG competition that have a similar rule.
