Historicon 2020
« on: December 04, 2019, 08:55:21 PM »
I was just looking at flights into Harrisburg PA and they are pretty reasonable. This is a lot better than flying into Philly and driving, which is what you used to have to do.

Anyway, planning to fly in on Wednesday and then out on Monday.

I have never flown into Harrisburg, but I suspect it would be fine if you plan to rent a car anyway. I have always flown into Philly, taken the train to PennStation, and then the train to Lancaster with a short cab ride to the hotel. Cheap and easy.

I am starting to plan the summer.
I am definitely coming to Historicon.
PSC is getting stand there as well.
I will play in some but not all as will demo games the rest of the time.

Happy to do a Mortem et Gloriam training camp, a Reg demo, WW2 Men of Steel and Divisions of Steel and Invasion Earth.

What are we planning?  I think it would be great to do
1-day Pacto with 4 games
2 day Maximus with 4 games
Both open.

Thoughts?

Sounds good. I will be happy to help, play, demo, whatever we need.

I like the idea of 4 rounds over 2 days. There are so many things to see and do that most people want some time outside the tournaments to experience the rest of the convention.

Train from Harrisburg to Lancaster is $12 and they run every hour or two hours. Train station is 2 miles from the Harrisburg airport and there are busses, as well as Uber now serves Harrisburg.

Same here, with the proviso that I get time off to buy lead. Or plastic. Happy to help with whatever.

Suggest we do the Maximus comp with a long lunch break so we can all go shopping.
We will be able to bring Lurkio pre-orders over as well as we will ship a fair bit of stock with PSC.
