I only take tokens now, but offer, and defer to my opponent for choice.
Simples.
Lance.

I take both but prefer tokens. I really don't like it when people put all their cards on a single card holder on the board edge. No idea what is going on and which command has what. Apart from that, I'm ambivalent.  I think the table looks better with tokens amd therefore it depends how important Simon feels the visual appealis is to the development of the game for the greater good etc etc

I will accept either tokens or cash. Are we talking about the same thing?

Yes. Beer tokens!

Thus proving using tokens is the only sensible approach  ;D

There is no sensible approach when Ray is involved  ;) ;D

Simples really. Those that want to use cards use cards, those that want to use Tokens use Tokens. Makes no difference. Most tables are untidy because of other crap everywhere, such as dice, dead bodies measuring tools etc. Its not a MEG problem is a toy soldier problem. If it ain't broke dont fix it
Just market it better.

Prefer tokens, but defer opponent if he prefers cards

mad lemmey

Hate tokens, too easy to pocket, especially as you can see some of the edges on table...
List bounced...

Maybe as a paid pdf for just the 15mm version through kindle?

If all goes well it will be an E-book as well as a hardback.

My sense us making it look great should be a major push now.  It is the one thing that lets us down at times.  I am on the case.

So the plan now is as follows:

1.  We will produce disc command tokens as punched heavy duty card such as used in board games:
a) circular so edges last.
b) printed black edges so no colours showing.
c) rear match grass of mats.
d) complete with a CCC system green bag (also to blend in).
e) smaller card set as a alternative with rears matched to the tabletops.

2. The double sided mat concept will be continued with 6x4 and 4x3 pacts versions.  These will exactly match the rears of the cards and discs.

3. The terrain sheet will be expanded into a quite of 3x2 sheets with preprinted terrain with higher quality artwork.  So we can work on those as minimum standard terrain and add our 3d items to them.

4.  All players will be encouraged to bring 1-2 small drama pieces of terrain to be added to their table for show.  These should be mobile so they can simply be moved out of the way of the action. Perhaps deliberate created to be a discard piece for tokens.  Prizes for the best terrain diorama.  These to be used to bring ancient terrain towards the beauty of WW2 tables.  I am planning an oasis and a village.

Why make the cards smaller? They are the right size for my ancient clumsy fingers at the moment. Smaller cards would be a pain (and fiddly-ness is one of the reasons why I dislike tokens and prefer cards). Remember we are generally an ageing demographic!

For the drama piece of terrain, sorry but not if I have to take the plane or travell light  8)
