More out if curiosity ; all pikes TUG are by 6

I am curious as to why "only" 6 , not 8,9 or 12

Probably because they are not "true" pikemen in the Makedonian, etc. mould so this differentiates them whilst giving them Pike. A bit of list/classification colour.
