What is the date on which the new rules and lists 'go live'?

Will 2026 rules sets be available for purchase ? Where and when will they be for sale?

Will the new charts be available for download as of yore? Or will we have to buy them? If we have to buy them, where?

Thanks

Miniature Wargaming is the only completely honorable form of warfare ever invented by man.

The new rules and lists are already available.

The new charts are available to download for free from the MeG website.  Go to the rules menu and select 2026 competition amendments.

There is no plan to update the ruleset - they won't be for sale.  (In fact, very few rules have actually changed).

Should also stress that these are competition amendments. It is up to competition organisers whether they wish to adopt them or not.
The feedback from competitions will guide any new edition of the rules, which will not be earlier than 2027.

Presumably this means that the 2025 rules and lists will continue to be supported in 2026. Would they still be the "public face" of Meg?  Meaning they would be the starting point for new players, be prominent on the website and so on. Might be worth having a statement on the front page of the site about  that?

Everything on the website directs you to the 2025 rules (including the sections for new players).  The only place the 2026 competition amendments are mentioned is under the rules menu in the item "2026 Competition Amendments".  I don't see how adding an additional statement would do anything but confuse new players.

That is a fair comment given the confusion among us current players.😉
