When do you specify exactly your army

Sometimes for an army it is important to be very specific about the time period being played

For others like some Roman army, if they are Western or Eastern

The Early Germans must specify the main tribe ( if I read it correctly )

For a tournament should it not be when the runners are published or do you prefer when you face them ( as some forget to be specific about it )

Ultimately it is a competition organiser issue in what they decide to publish before the competition.

My own opinion (for what it is worth) is that at the start of each game you should tell your opponent the main army, date, allies and any option restriction (such as region).

When defining troops, the rules specifically say that you do not need to indicate if the troop is allied or not, (although if the troop type doesn't exist in the main army it may be obvious!).

Perhaps there should be a rule to unify the way it is handled

Along with what colour socks players should wear ...  ::)

Unfair comparaison, one is a genuine point, as the composition may vary according to the option chosen, while the other is a matter of personal (dis)taste ...

I'm quite certain we can find better reasons to agree or disagree  :)

There somethings you need to clarify and being impolite shows who you are

You are, of course, right. A race to the bottom on pettiness is unedifying.

So my apologies.
