Hello!

We have a question regarding the ambush rule.

I have one contingent in ambush that has 2 UGs, the ambush cards being placed one next to each other. One of them has a sub-commander in it.

If I want to activate them (not for making a charge move, but to make a normal movement prompted action) does it mean the one UG that does not have a sub-commander in it will be consiered out of command regardless of when I reveal it?

The way I interpret it is that the UG with a sub-commander can make prompted actions as in command, while the other UG will be considered out of command (no matter if I reveal it before or after revealing the other unit).

is a group move possible?
If the UGs are placed such that they meet the requirements of a block move, then they may be moved.  Note that as well as the additional coloured card for the block move, a second additional coloured card will be required for the UG being out of command.

(Amended response).

For multiple UG that is then :

1 card to move
1 card for block move
1 card for out of command for each UG except the one with the general?

The extra colour card for out of command is if any are, so just 1 extra card not 1 per UG out of command.
