2025-05-10&11th Campaign Milton Keynes - Team Event

Gentleman,
As you are now no doubt aware, we are on 7&1/3 teams for Campaign. This would have brought about the ugly premise of byes and people missing games, something that I cannot continence.

However, the genius brain of Paul Cummins has come up with a truly simple, but effective answer, henceforth to be known as 'Alternative Format P'.

Each pool will be fought on its own, in a Swiss chess format, over five rounds. The team combined total will then be used to determine  overall team rankings(1). Round 1 draws will be predetermined.

I will make the eighth player in the Wars of The Roses pool. I will play off scratch and be ineligible for any prizes/spoonage.

The bottom two players in 'Horse Lords' and 'Eastern' will then face off against each other(2).

Their scores will then be added to their teams for an overall team score.

I hope this makes some kind of sense.
