Could these have a re-word or clarifications added for 2025?

The Hill tribe portions lead to some very unwieldy lists, iirc we even mentioned it on a podcast  :)

Take Annam 4804, for instance, as worded if you take a hill tribe ally, his troops have to come on top of the main army compulsories of 30 bases of hill tribe troops.

should these all be reclassified as 'Hill tribe contingents' with a 'if a hill tribe AG is used he must command 1/2 to all of all of the compulsory Hill tribes and the main army may command the rest and non-compulsory hill tribes. If no Hill Tribe Ally is taken the main army must take the minimum compulsories.'

also applicable to Autonomous Vietnam and Rebel Vietnam

Agreed - it is unnecessarily complicated.  I have simplified.  Updated list set.

Better wording.

Also needs a comment on there that none tribal internal ally generals do not have to take the hill tribes troops, else up to 5 compulsory troops types

Are we getting a list for "The Land of a Million Elephants"?

The new Stephen Turnbull book  'Elephants and gunpowder' is worth a read

Luck enough to get a pre-release copy were you  ;D

Hope its better than the one on the Khmer he published earlier this year which wasn't very good.

there are a lot of tertiary sources (Quaritch-Wales, Charney etc). But also elements of Mendes Pinto which is good for REG if not MEG !
I enjoyed it, on a topic that can be hard to digest with a Western eye sometimes
