can you simultaneously reveal multiple ambush cards and , assuming, the ambushing ugs all touch each other move them out of ambush as a prompted block?

No, UGs in ambush do not meet the requirements of a block.

how not so?

'1.
. Ambushes may only be revealed:
1.1 When any enemy UG comes within range to see them (bluffs are treated as skirmish infantry).
1.2 Immediately before they charge or move.
1.3 Immediately before they shoot.'

1.2 seems to cover a block move of ambushes. I'm paying the card to move them as a black so revealing them simultaneously? An enemy ug could reveal  all three ambush cards and I could deploy them touching and immediately move them as a block

FWIW I've previously allowed a block move from ambush when asked on the basis Matt mentions.

Only happened once that I can recall and obviously is not precedent  8)

On reflection, ambushes are revealed before they charge or move.

So if they are deployed meeting the conditions of the block I guess it would be okay.  Note: unless charging at least one UG will be considered out of command so an additional COLOURED card will be required, in addition to the COLOURED card for the block.

Note that the requirement when revealing an ambush is to deploy as many bases as possible on the ambush card (it doesn't say entirely on the card).  This may prevent creating a block of three UGs together (depending on the size of the bases in ambush).

Or am I missing something?

Would benefit from a clarification anyway....

Because unless charging, any ambush UG without a general is out of command until they have moved (12:A.4 page 116 PDF edition).
