Can someone help I was looking at list 3209 and saw the note stating that Viking Raiders must always invade. The wording is as follows:
"Raiders must always be the invader (unless fighting another that must invade!)."
The same note also seems to suggest that forces taken from the list must be Raiders with the following wording:
"A Viking army must either be a raider (any date), in England (from 867 to 927 and 937 to 954 CE), in Ireland (from 853 to 900 CE), or in Normandy (from 911 to 986 CE)."
There does not appear to be, in the above wording, an option for a Viking force not to be a raider and therefore must always invade.
However in the troop notes right at the top of the list it says the following
"This list either represents a more mobile raiding force or a steadier invading army."
This appears to allow for a non raider force. Which is it please?
