The Maximilian Imperial list (7108) allows up to 3 skirmishing hand gunners to be incorporated into a Landsknecht pike keil. I'm not clear from the note how this works. Does each base in a file (so 4) get upgraded for each handgunner that is incorporated or does only one base in the file get upgraded?

Bases not whole files, although IIRC, there is nothing saying the bases need to be in different files.

Thanks. I thought that was the most likely explanation but had a slight doubt. So to get one file firing with a base white dice you would need to upgrade 2 of the 4 bases in that file.
