Hello,

Chained Archers are listed as Close cavalry, even though they are not ArmHrs ? Is that a consequence of them possessing Shower Shooting ?

No it is a consequence of them being in a closer formation than usual - the interpretation of "chained" used as a metaphor for close formation rather than being literal.

Shower Shooting is not linked to any specific formation although at present the only troops with it happen to be Close. Other troops may qualify (Sasanid and Later Sasanid spring to mind) but we went with a cautious roll out for a new characteristic - on which basis it'd be good to hear anyones experiences of using it.
