Pavise - what does +S in charge combat mean (Compendium)

Guessing the Compendium pg 51 has a mis-print in the Pavise description as says.  "Cover and +s in charge combat".  From looking elsewhere I get impression this should be +1 rather than +s.

I looked at errata but could not see this one (but I might have missed it).

In the pdf, the gist of it is:

Pavise gives no benefit of any type if charging, countercharging, or intercepting.

pavise gives a +1 bonus in charge combat against any infantry (if the pavise owner is doing none of the above).

If a shooting file has all of its front edge ahead of the target file, a target base with
pavise counts as in cover.

Thanks Lawrence...appears as I suspected there is a typo in the Compendium.  I don't have the pdf...just original rules and Compendium  :)

The detailed rules on Pavise appear on page 207  as part of the appendix on characteristics and this is the section to use for allcharacteristics; the table on page 51 is just a summary description to give an overview but not the whole detail.

The PDF Intro document has the same wording  :o
"The Roman Empire was not murdered and nor did it die a natural death; it accidentally committed suicide."

Thanks - had not spotted. Probably as I keep starting from the front...and then getting so far before my brain gets full 😉
