2023-06-24/25 Asiamaniacs Irish Nationals competition
« on: November 30, 2022, 04:48:13 PM »
Hi guys,
I am hosting a MeG Maximus 15mm competition in Ireland in Thomond Park stadium in Limerick, Ireland.

The armies allowed come from:
1312, 2604, 2609, 3101-3123, 4101-4816. As a result I'm now including Ikko Ikki and Muromachi Peasant Uprising, so players can use all the Asian armies apart from the ones in the Japan PDF. I'll push the cut off date to 1501CE, but keep the start date of 1301BCE.
Points limit: 10k

The dates are the 24th and 25th of June 2023.

I'll be able to confirm the dates for the event by January. As soon as I get the details of the umbrella event, Conclave, I'll then post the dates of the competition.

The reason I'm not including the Late Japanese armies that are in the Renaissance pdf is because in my honest opinion, they are very obvious armies to take to a MeG competition that allows them, and it's my way of hopefully ensuring a very wide variety of armies in the competition. This opinion is based on the 6 of Superior Powerbow Melee Expert infantry and the 2 4s of Superior Skilled Powerbow Melee Expert Cavalry.

We know, one of those things I'm afraid.

Bump. Would anyone else be interested in attending the comp? An army or 2 could be provided if necessary. I'm happy to expand the theme as well to accommodate different armies as well.

Hi guys, just to confirm the timetable for the competition and the price.
The flexible timetable is Saturday: Round 1 9.30-12.45, lunch 12.45 to 1.45, then round 2 1.45 to 5.
Sunday each event is earlier by 15 minutes. If you wish to start the next game earlier than the allotted times on the table, that's no problem.
Price is €30.
Prizes for 1st (a slate with the words Irish MeG Champion 2023 on it), then prizes for 2nd and 3rd. Probably a wooden spoon as well.
