Roman Legionnaires Shieldwall?

Hi Richard. Just wondering about the reasoning behind not allowing highly trained legionnaires the Shieldwall characteristic? Appreciate it would make them expensive but surely they should at least have the option !!!

Absolutely.  It is always getting the right effect that we are looking for.

For IW Legionaries, sure: they're good enough already. For later Short Spear/Darts Legionaries though? It should be an option there IMO for the more defensive fighting style.
