The list requires 2-4 Cavalls Armat. The next 2 lines are the root of my question. Are the 'lighter cavalls alforrat'  considered a regrade of the 'cavalls alforrat' ? There are 4 alforrat required. I would like to use 3 as back rankers for the Armats (the list provide for this), but if I do so I must run a second unit of Alforrats because I have not met the 5 minimum. If the 'lighter line' is a regrade option I could meet this by fielding a separate unit of 4-6 Cavalls Alforrats. Otherwise I must run 2x4- man knight /sergeant units. 6 stand units are much better, but basically illegal if this is a separate troop type and not an optional regrade. I have read the Muntaner account and it doesn't really say for certain. It seems to refer to the cavalls Alforrats as a body of troops that did b=different things at different times.

Am I out on a limb here? I may be engaged in wishful thinking, but the troops are basically representing the same troops in differing roles, so I believe the 'regrade' reading has a chance to be historically accurate.

The "Lighter equipped cavalls alforrats" is not a regrade option it is a separate troops line.

This is a very confusing area of the list.
