Galatian v Early Seleucid
« on: August 23, 2021, 04:56:45 PM »
Having decided to refight Antiochus I's Elephant victory in 275 BCE against the Galatians I notice that references to Galatians as an historical enemy in the Early Seleucid list and to the Early Seleucids in the Galatian list are both missing.

Also whilst it refers to Antiochus I's Elephant Victory in the notes to the Galatian list as taking place in 275 BCE but the Galatian list only allows scythed chariots only in 273 BCE. Is this correct at 273 BCE or should it read 275 BCE?

Thanks for spotting this.

The date of the battle was traditionally set at 275 BCE.  Some historians suggested it should be revised to 273 BCE.  This date was rejected by other historians and I believe 275 BCE is the preferred date.

Might be best to allow them in either 275 or 273 BCE....
