I confirm IWC2022 will take place on january 22nd and 23rd in BRUSSELS.

Close to metro "Demey" and "Hermann-Debroux" a 10 minutes walk

The fee include breakfast and lunch,

All books allowed with modifications published till 10 december 2021

The 2022 lists and armybuilder having been published they are the only valid army lists and army builder to be used
Armies max 10 000 points,
Time period 460 CE till 718 CE which gives you plenty of choice !
Each player must bring his own dice, tools, miniatures, printed list and terrain,

In agreement with Simon Hall this will be the delayed 2021 European Championship , the 2022 European Championship is to be organised a bit later in 2022 by the 2020  European Champion Olivier Joucla .

Due to Covid and space restrictions, there are 40 slots, no more

Unless the situation changes, every player will be asked to show either a proof of a complete vaccination or recent negative covid test

Wearing a facemask during the tournament is for now not mandatory,

09h30 - 13h00 : first round
13h00 - 13h30 : lunch
13h30 - 17h00 : second round

Sunday

08h00 : we open doors and you get your lunch and coffee ( we begin early for people who have trains or planes to take )
08h30 - 12h00 : third round
12h00 - 12h30 : lunch
12h30 - 16h00 : last round
16h15 : hurray to the winners

Smaller than the VUB but the best I could do and 40 players max

People coming from UK, even if fully vaccinatedmUST take a test before coming and of course it must be negative :-)

For all, being full vaccinated or a negative test before coming is a must ( under current rules )

So we will have our tournament the question being what will the restrictions be for UK based players

Hi Jacques,

My understanding is that currently travellers from the UK do not have to quarantine if they provide evidence of a negative PCR test upon arrival and have been fully vaccinated.  A relative travelled to Belgium last weekend - so unless the rules have changed since last Friday....

That said, the situation has plenty of time to change (for better or worse) so I think it is a case of having to wait and see...

I certainly would like to attend if it is feasible.

By the way, some UK players do seem to worry about COVID measures in Belgium :

Look at this : take a test on day 1 or 2 after arrival and quarantine until you receive a negative result. Alternatively, you can provide evidence of a negative PCR test upon arrival, taken no more than 72 hours before arrival in Belgium. If you have a negative pre-departure test, you do not need to take tests on day 1 or day 2.

So if PCR test negative before leaving UK, no quarantaine . And you do not have to order a test in Belgium, just to fill in a PLF that is much more simpler than the one I had to fill in to come to LGT ! child's play if compared to it.

Just know that you may get a test on arrival by TRAIN at the Gare du Midi or at the Airport and usually get results soon ( a few hours ) . test can be PCR ( valid 72 hours ) or antigenic ( valid 48 hours with quick results usually less than 4 hours) so quarantine is very limited .

No quarantine  for Swiss,French, Dutch or Greek players  coming from outside UK
