Bonjour tout le monde,

I have had the opportunity to play - let's it's covid's fault - but I have read the rules and claries many times now. I was thinking of adding the following house rules for my futur games. What do you think ?
These house rules are meant to be played during friendly games and have not been tested. Furthermore, I have no intention with those rules to to interfere with Simon's creativity or impose my view whatsoever. It is all about fun and gaming.

House Rules :

1) Shooting from Behind

9.6.G
Die Colour for Shooting

Add line in the table :

Shooting from behind   :  Upgrade Colour if The shooting file front edge is behind the line extending the target's front edge

2) General contacted by the Enemy

8. Playing a Turn
Universal Rules
7. If standing alone, they simply shift by the minimum distance if contacted by friends or must perform an immediate free move if contact by an enemy SuG . If contacted by an enemy TuG, your opponent can claim a KAB immediately; if the general survives, he must then perform a free move.

AND

9.8.B
4.
4.3 When you contact an enemy general with a TuG. If the general survives, he must then perform a free move.

I like the flank shooting rule, though I would add an exception that a unit in an orb negates it. I like making things a little more dangerous for generals but I think they ought to gain some measure of protection from nearby TUGs. Perhaps if the general is within range to remove wounds the KAB test is negated?

For information, the rule about shooting at the rear of UGs was considered.  I believe it was rejected as being an unnecessary extra complication.  (Personally I would be in favour of it but there are no planned rule changes for the future).

I do not see it as a "complication" but it will make some shooty mounted SK much more funny to use and ORB usefull  8)

Thanks for your feedback. The rules for shooting will be added in my games. It's not complicated and even more natural and easy to remember than most shooting claims

As for the rule about contacting an enemy général, they would need to be tested. As I never played I cannot really assess how it would play on the battlefield. I just like the idea that a général must be careful of enemies TuG.
