Movement Question

We have just started playing MEG and one question has come up about movement.  In movement can you move up to 1mm from an enemy unit but would require a M6 movement to contact an enemy unit in the movement phase.   If you used the M6 movement would you fight in the melee phase?  Thanks I apologize if teh question has been answered before.

You contact an enemy in the CHARGE phase by declaring a charge, not in the movement phase.

M6 is an advance and contract (not contact).
