Counter charge to avoid rear/flank charge.

Gentlemen,
We believe we may have found a hole in the rules that needs tightening.
Technically, countercharge can be used to avoid a charge.
If you can turn up to 90 degrees in a countercharge, you do not have to move full distance, just stop outside 1bw. If the angle is right, the unit being charged can move out of charge arc/distance and not be contacted.
Also, an unengaged keil with fleet of foot can never be rear charged as it can countercharge 90 and then have a flank to face (so no rear bonus).
Can we add a line somewhere saying a countercharge must be towards an enemy charging it?

The rules do say it must be towards enemy charging.

From page 124.

"... or b) wheel towards troops charging you to avoid a flank charge"

"A countercharge may wheel up to 90 at the beginning of its move towards those charging it and may not end up further away from it; ..."

"The Roman Empire was not murdered and nor did it die a natural death; it accidentally committed suicide."

Will,

A counter-charger has to move towards the chargers and end up closer to the enemy than they started (page 121).   Para 7 bullet 1 explicitly states that the countercharge or intercept has to end up in the charge path!

I think this is allready addressed.
