Dismounting
« on: January 18, 2019, 10:32:47 AM »
Think I may have mentioned this before, but on the old forum just before we moved.

In the rules the section on Dismounting does not say what those with Mtd Polearm dismount as. OK, pretty obvious that it is likely to be Polearm but maybe worth mentioning for completeness and to avoid "that person" having an argument about it.

Also doesn't mention what happens with any missile capability - again seems obvious but as above  ;D

Noted and will build into the reprint.

So ...

Yes obviously as foot polearm.
And
Keep any missile weapon and skill level as foot equivalents.

One oddity on this you may like to pass onto RJC.

The Northern Dynasties and Western Wei & Northern Zhou lists have a note which says "Although the cavalry carried a spear, it is classified as Mounted Polearm because of the shock impact." - so what would their dismount be?  ;D

There is an argument for Long Spear, but it isn't something I'd be over-worried about as they can only dismount for Battle wagons, etc.

I think these two lists are the only ones with this so it'd be a list note as opposed to the rules IMO.
