Goth Army - basing query

Hello all,

First post. I've not invested in the rules yet (it will end up being for solo play, at least initially) but really like everything I've seen so far.

I've ordered one of the Goth infantry bags to make a start on painting up an army (don't tell the wife).

I know that infantry should go on a 20x30 base but shall I just split them evenly between four, three and two per base?

Do the same principles apply to the archers in the bag as well as the regular infantry?

Not too bothered at this point about building a list but don't want to base them in a way that makes them unusable.

Infantry are on 40x20 bases (cavalry 40x30 FWIW).

The "warband" type infantry would be best split 50:50 between 4 figures to a base and 3 figures to a base.

The archers have 2 options. They can be 2 to a base for skirmisher types or 3 to a base for "massed" archers. I think most people find the skirmisher variety most useful.
