Wasn't quite sure where to post this so apologies if not really the right place.

Since there are a few different things I'm looking at (and also once I get round to getting the rules any figures would have to wait for a future months purchase), I was giving some thought to printing some stuff at home to try out. Obviously there's a few armies in the compendium which is a start, but can anyone recommend a source for more.

Current potential areas of interest thanks to recommendations on my previous post are

  • Vikings and Middle Anglo-Saxon
  • Late Roman and Goths
  • Fantasy LOTR type

Thanks for any help.

I think this topic on the SoA forum may have some links to top down figure resources - it did get a bit bogged down with IP rights but I'm sure there is something in there for you.

And for paper "flats" there is always Peter Denis' Paperboys - https://peterspaperboys.com/

PERMES on the Wargames Vault also has a selection of 30mm paper figures, including ancients:

including Janissaries just released!

The Wargames Vault is also a good source of paper terrain if needed.

Thanks chaps, will have a look, although the SoA forum only appears to be open to members so will probably stick with the other options suggested.
