Dead generals

During our game we had a general killed by a falling skull. We looked in the '20 changes, the clarries, and everywhere else we could think of for the new rules on when generals are replaced. Where should we have looked? When and how is a dead instinctive general replaced? A point at where to find the rule would be plenty.

Dead instinctive generals return at 6.2 in the following turn.

Thanks for the responses. In hindsight, the sequence of play does seem an obvious  spot to look. Far too obvious for the likes of me, I'm afraid.
