SOLO PLAY RULES
« on: March 19, 2020, 05:26:24 AM »
Given the isolation we are facing I thought my SOLO play method might interest many of you.

FOR PBS

1. Roll for invader as usual and make the sensible decision.
2. Start army marker in the middle of the map.
3. Deal the cards and take the best five from each player.
4. Turn over and move battle location.
5. Battle can go into any territory type of the defending nation.
6. Set up terrain as normal favouring the armies as best you can

PLAYING THE GAME
1. Use the cards. You will find this best as you can carry the pack with you as you move around the board.
2. Only deal cards for any floating general.
3. Gift floating general cards those as normal to other generals.
4. Then anytime you want to make an action:
a) decide what you want to do in advance - move and troops.
b) THEN draw cards for the general
c) make the best move you can with ONLY those troops and put any cards not used back into the BOTTOM of the pack you are carrying.
d) place any cards used face down with the general
e) next time draw only cards remaining into their allowance
f) an allocated floating general card can be used instead of course
g) apply to all actions - so in EoT deal any remaining allowance and see what you can recover.

You can see why carrying the card pack is best.

I find this gives me a nice Fog of War feel when playing solo.
I use it in many CCC practice games.
