Hi,
If we are at the declaration of charge phase and your opponent declares a charge on your tug which has a shoot and charge ability can you declare a shoot and charge or is it classed as a counter charge in which case you cannot use shoot and charge?

If you declare a charge then it is not a countercharge and so you can do the shoot & charge thing.

Note that as the shooting is diced for immediately the charge is declared your opponent will have shot and if you lose base(s) your shooting may be affected - unlike Shooting Phase shooting which is deemed to be simultaneous.

Thanks for that.  It makes the chariot army I am trying out a lot more appealing.

Only, of course, if your opponent has the "Shoot & Charge" ability.  If you have "Shoot & Charge", you have to declare a charge to shoot immediately.  If you don't charge you may still shoot as a charge response, it just isn't immediate.
