Just started playing with the rules with my son, and I really like how they flow, most of it is fairly clear, but I have some questions on timing of combat resolution.
1. I see you resolve combat rank by rank, if the active player scores a kill on the last base in that rank does the opponent fight back,
2. Do you decide if a unit is routed after each rank or after all ranks in the TUG have fought.
We played the rank was simultaneous which resulted in opposing bases killing each other, routing their unit and both armies breaking at the same time.

Thank you for your help. I have motivated myself to learn and get the army painted by signing up for the GT in June, plenty of time.

Finally, is there any group in the Camberley/Farnborough area who play, I didn't see any in the clubs page, closest seems to be Guildford.

Combat is by file which I am sure is what you mean but just wanted to be clear on - and yes, I'm a pedantic sod  :o

The dice are rolled simultaneously by both players for the combat between each file.

It is determined immediately it happens, so after the combat outcome of each file that is fighting which can mean some combats are not rolled for as a unit breaks before they have all been resolved,

Sounds like you are doing it right  ;D

Although a mutual army break is very unusual in MeG, but it can happen.
