Hi all,

I have a question about the presence of Alexander in the list.

If I make a list for 338 BC and want Alexander to be a sub-general, is he still Legendary or can I take him as Talented ?

And the second question, if he is just a sub-general and NOT Legendary, am I allowed to take the Exceptional Agema unit ?

So basically I would have Philip (Talented C-in-C), Alexander (Talented, Sub-Gen) and the Agema in Alexander's command (led by him). Would that be legal ?

Many Thanks,
Dan

1. Alexander can only be Legendary if he is the army commander.  (Sub-generals cannot be Legendary unless specifically noted in the list - the only list that permits this is the Trojan War Greek list).

2. Alexander can be a sub-general and the Agema can be taken. (The only requirement to take the Agema is that Alexander is present).

One year later, same list, another question, just to clarify a discussion I am having with someone:

2408 - MAGNA LIST (I assume the principle is the same)

Companion Cavalry - Min 4, Max 8
Upgrade to Agema - 0-4.

This means 4 of the Companion bases may become Agema, right ?
It is not a separate entry but an upgrade to the maximum of 8 bases. Essentially it is the same as if it had said "up to half".

Having 8 Companions AND 4 Agema is not permitted. Am I seeing this correctly ?

Thank you,
Dan
