I just discovered that nothing is mentioned concerning shooters in difficult terrain.

So  it means that cavalry with bow in difficult terrain as no malus for shooting, except if they are in woods, is that right?

Seems strange to me, someone can explain it?

Terrain provides cover but never affects shooters unless it is in the way between the shooter and the target. The satus of the shooter, affected or heavily affected has no impact .

I guess no matter what, how your ranks are organised, arrows, stones, javelin, darts will fly

Indeed.  Having had a rethink on this I took the view that holding formation is difficult, but shooting is not about that.  So terrain shouldn't really have much effect unless it interferes with the flight of missiles.  Hence a different concept to previous rules.  So for instance I find it hard to see why skirmishing javelinmen on a steep hill would be individually bad at throwing javelins.  Put some trees on the hill and then it makes sense to me.

I also like it in terms of game play as having most rough terrain on the table doesn't stop you killing each other with arrows etc.  Which breaks certain terrain stalemates if you have missile troops.
