Historicon 2021 – July 7-11
Fly to any of NY, DC or Phili and its easy.  Lovely new venue.  We can do a group trip from Europe and go see Gettysburg and all the museums in DC at the same time.  I am planning to bring the whole family.  Me and Mr Steads already signed up.

Here is the announcement  ...

The MEG GATHERING and the OFFICIAL MEG NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

MeG author Simon Hall will be attending Historicon for his third visit in 2021 and we will have The Plastic Soldier Company present as well for the first time.  The team is planning a friendly gathering of Pacto players and encourages all to come along. This will be a random draw event throughout and not terribly competitive. Rather a chance to meet other players, get experience from those who have played it more and to chat to the author who will not be playing but will umpire an assist.

In addition there will be the major US launch of the Divisions of Steel WW2 rules by Simon Hall and Mark Bevis at Historicon along with a demo game of the Battle of Rauray , July 1st 1944.

We have three days of playing MeG where you can play 1, 2 or 3 days, and go into the NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHOP for days 2 and 3, or stay in the GATHERING.
• Fri July 9 is Pacto 3,000pts. THE GATHERING - LEARNING DAY. All players mixed together. We will pair up experienced players with new players so come along and learn how to play even if you have only just got the books. We will even have a few armies that can be borrowed. 4 x 90 min games in the day.
• Day 2 and 3 the GATHERING continues for those who prefer to do more of this.  There will be prizes for the best looking armies, generals and terrain and a little something for everyone taking part, plus a little extra for the best scores. 4 x 90 min games each day.
• But if you prefer and have more figures then join the OFFICIAL NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP where there will be some lovely prizes for 1-3rd from PSC and Lurkio.
• Sat July 10 Magna 7,000pts using the same army list as day 1 (e.g. Middle Sassanids) but a new army design. 3 games x 2 ½ hr .
• Sun July 11 Maximus 10,000pts on the same basis. Early 8am start with 2 x 3 ½ hr games, so people get away by 4pm.
• An entirely open choicer of armies from the 670 lists available FREE online.

See you there.  I think it's going to be a big gathering of gamers this year as people are frustrated at missing out in 2020.  Main hotel already sold out! Si
